Dr McLymont is a Chartered Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Psychological Research Methods, a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is currently undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology at University College London.

 

Dr McLymont has ten years of experience in working within Paediatric Clinical Psychology. She began her career in the Bromley Adolescent Team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) providing specialist Clinical Psychology input for adolescents in a Crisis Team before moving on to working in a Tier 3 CAMHS service in Hampshire where she working with young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and carried out neuropsychological assessments and Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic assessments, She has continued to work in a number of senior posts across Hampshire, working with young people with neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions and most recently worked as the Clinical Lead in Paediatric Psychology at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust and as Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Paediatric Epilepsy Team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Dr McLymont is a highly accomplished clinician with post-graduate training in EMDR trauma therapy for children, Acceptance and Commitment Training and Family Therapy and Systemic Intervention training. She is qualified in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Schedule (ADOS-2), the 3di Autism Diagnostic Assessment and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R) to support the diagnosis of Autms Spectrum Disorder in young people.

Dr Mclymont provide specialist Paediatric Neuropsychology input in her role at Psychologia, as part of the Paediatric Neuropsychology pathway, delivering neuropsychological assessments and interventions for young people who have experienced acquired brain injuries and conditions. She works with client from early infancy, families, professionals and young people up to age 25, supporting them with cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and educational needs, to work toward person-centre goals.
